Job Descriptions

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for all positions as well as position specific requirements. All Positions

  • Capable of delivering excellent guest services in a high-volume setting.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (75lbs), and twist on a frequent basis.
  • Problem solving, and decision-making skills resulting in creative ways to improve operations and resolve guest challenges.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Good math and cash-handling skills.
  • Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays, with flexibility to meet the theaters availability requirements.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.

Concession

All previous position requirements in addition to the following:

  • Sell tickets and concessions to patrons, giving correct change and prompt, friendly service.
  • Help to resolve customer issues or complaints to a satisfactory resolution.
  • Clean popper and other food equipment as instructed (via checklists or manager delegation)
  • Close concession quickly and properly (all checklists items completed to standards)
  • Stock and clean concessions stand and service areas to the appropriate levels/standards in a timely manner.
  • Complete additionally daily or weekly tasks as required (either via checklists or manager delegation)

Key Holder

All previous position requirements in addition to the following:

  • Performs all daily tasks as required (via checklists or manager delegation) without additional prompting or instruction.
  • Count and close cash stations quickly and accurately.
  • Close the inventory station quickly and accurately, find and properly correct errors if needed. (Closer Key Holder)
  • Opens theater efficiently, accurately and on time. (Opening Key Holder)
  • Closes Deposit quickly and accurately, finds and properly corrects errors if needed. (Closer Key Holder)
  • Completes and sends nightly reports in a timely manner, including text or phone call to the office. (Closer Key Holder)
  • Monitors concession operation and performance.
  • Correctly prioritizes tasks in both critical and non-critical situations.
  • Performs basic projector related tasks as required (ingesting, manual stops/starts, and reboots)
  • Assists in checking and implementing in house weekly changeover (including recording, slides, proofs, and paperwork)
  • Monitors equipment functions and reports issues to management (including TV’s, registers, HVAC, toilets, sinks, drains, computers, projectors and other equipment)

Shift Manager

All previous position requirements in addition to the following:

  • Count and correct stockrooms with speed and accuracy - finds and properly corrects errors if needed.
  • Places orders for stock and posters with care and consideration of business needs.
  • Performs basic maintenance on popcorn and soda machines as dictated by cleaning/maintenance schedule
  • Troubleshoots minor projector issues with minimal outside assistance (uses guides and manuals as needed)
  • Completes weekly paperwork changeover tasks quickly and accurately with minimal guidance (including recording, slides, BORs and paperwork).
  • Completes all weekly projector related changeover quickly and accurately (including playlists, schedules, ad ingests, movie ingests, deleting content).
  • Updates all theater social media pages in accordance with the social media schedule and guidelines. 
  • Creates, checks and sends movie schedules quickly and within the parameters given. (Both for approval and to advertisers)
  • Correctly downloads projector keys from the computer, verifies validity, and properly records the information. Checks with proper distribution channels if something is missing or inaccurate.
  • Checks and properly responds to emails in a timely manner – if unsure how to/unable to reply, inform the assistant or general manager of items to be addressed.
  • Acknowledges successful staff, and coaches those that need extra assistance.

Assistant Manager

All previous position requirement in addition to the following:

  • Troubleshoots major projector issues with or without assistance (uses guides and manuals as needed and as first resource). Can contact NOC and confidently explain the issue, possible cause and repair suggestion.
  • Assists general manager in completion of theater and company goals.
  • Collects and verifies bank deposit receipts and takes appropriate action if deposit receipt is missing.
  • Verifies and sends accurate payroll reports (including completed corrections, mileage and miscellaneous information).

General Manager

All previous position requirements in addition to the following:

  • Can escalate projector issues with NOC if needed to get the projector back to proper operation. Can and does replace projector parts quickly and properly to facilitate minimum down time.
  • Hiring
  • Coaches employees to help them reach personal/professional goals and terminate those unsuited for the job.
  • Create balanced employee schedules and post them at least 96 hours before the first day listed.
  • Monitors and corrects issues with inventory, staff, patrons and maintenance.
  • Works with assistant manager, other theater managers, and executives to complete company wide projects or initiatives.
  • Ensures that all aspects of theater operation are running as effectively and efficiently as possible.
  • Suggests improvements or seeks assistance or guidance to rectify issues.

Maintenance

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (75lbs), and twist on a frequent basis.
  • Problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including early morning, evenings, and overnight on occasion.
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with a deadline
  • Ability to keep multiple persons (GM, COO, and CEO) appraised of progress via weekly email updates
